Project 68: 1968 Imperial Crown Coupe
Rendering that I did a few months back as I try and wrap my head around the look I'm going for with my 68.

Barn Find Friday... sorta.
Love 70's streetvans but dont wanna be labeled a sleezeball?
Peep this badboy. I would 100% buy this if; A.) I had the money to blow, B.) a place to keep it in my already overcrowed garage, and C.) a way to possibly justify this to the wifey. She's patient with me, but this would tip the scales in a dangerous direction. :)

Daily Chicken Scratch: Bōsōzoku 暴走族
Something about vintage Japanese iron makes me smile... it's like scaled down American muscle cars of the late 60's, done in the late 70's. Also, I'm fascinated with Japanese car culture... even some of the more eccentric ends of it, like the Bosozoku style...which has a tendency to go way overboard, but in some of the more mild cases.. I confess. I dig it.

Barn Find Friday: '63 Com-anchero...
One for the lovers of oddballs. A 63 Ranchero in Mercury Comet guise. Needs work for sure, but definitely more interesting than just a run of the mill s-10 for a shop truck. :)

Gil's '51
Did this quicky, based on an older peice of mine. A gent that I met at Autorama showed me a pic of his car and asked if I could modify the green that I had done a few years back to look more like his 51.

Gassers, Street Freaks, and Brand Awareness.
These are older sketches but I put them together in this layout for autorama last year and was surprised by not only the amount of attention that they got, but the amount of controversy that they caused. I got more "why aint there a mopar on there?" and "I love the fords, but why's there a chevy?" or vice-versa. I almost forgot how brand-centric people can be. Lesson learned. I'll just have to do one for GM, one for Ford, and a third for Mopars to cover my bases. :)

Instagram: Daily Chicken Scratch Project.
At some point in the 70’s my mother made my old man toss a bunch of his old car mags. I’m not sure where he managed to hide the hundreds that I still ended up with, but regardless, when he “purged” the first time, he ripped pages out with things that were important to him at the time. So I have an overflowing folder with piles of disintegrating magazine pages from the early 60’s. I’ve decided to use them as the subject of my daily Moleskine pocket sketch book til I fill it, or run out of old pages to reference...(I’m sure the former will happen first). Feel free to look up my Instagram (@design165) to follow as I upload em.

I know it's only a year and a half late, but finished this piece in time for this years Detroit Autorama. Limited run available HERE

Barn Find Friday: 65 Altered w/b Dart GT...?
I’m thinkin this is most likely BS. Ad says one of 4 ever produced. But looking at the car, it looks more like a back yard job rather than a factory altered. Maybe I’m wrong, in which case this would be a monumental steal.
The real deals for reference.
